My Battle

It started when I reached my fourth month wherein I consistently being hospitalized. I had continuous bowel incontinence since I was born and mom as a nurse not panicking until I get hospitalized for the same reason. Mom's instinct believe I have a serious condition wherein doctors in DLSUMC specifically Dr. Nido my pediatrician not believing so. My parents had second opinion and brought me to another hospital and mom initiated to request for series of laboratories. They confirmed. I have Hirschprung's Disease.

Hirschsprung's disease (HD) is a disorder of the abdomen that occurs when part or all of the large intestine or antecedent parts of the gastrointestinal tract have no nerves and therefore cannot function.The affected segment of the colon cannot relax and pass stool through the colon, creating an obstruction

Ang Batang Laging Nagtatanong

Isang araw , si Juan , and batang palagi nagtatanong , tumingin sa isang mahirap na matanda at tinanong ang sarili, ano ang ginagawa niya araw-araw ? ,pumunta si Juan sa mahirap na matanda,

Juan : ano po ang ginagawa niyo po araw araw ?

Matanda : nagbebenta ako ng mga damit at kumot

Gusto pa ni Juan magtanong sa matanda, pero umalis na yung matanda,si Juan ay magalang at masunurin , isang araw, may matanda kailangan ng tulong , nakita nito ni Juan , tinulungan niya itong matanda, mamaya sa araw na iyon, may nakita siyang bata na nasaktan , tinulungan niya ito , naging kaibigan niya ang bata na ito, gustong- gusto ni Juan tumulong.
