My Battle

It started when I reached my fourth month wherein I consistently being hospitalized. I had continuous bowel incontinence since I was born and mom as a nurse not panicking until I get hospitalized for the same reason. Mom's instinct believe I have a serious condition wherein doctors in DLSUMC specifically Dr. Nido my pediatrician not believing so. My parents had second opinion and brought me to another hospital and mom initiated to request for series of laboratories. They confirmed. I have Hirschprung's Disease.
Hirschsprung's disease (HD) is a disorder of the abdomen that occurs when part or all of the large intestine or antecedent parts of the gastrointestinal tract have no nerves and therefore cannot function. The affected segment of the colon cannot relax and pass stool through the colon, creating an obstruction

My Check- Up

at 1:41 AM
After my operation I have a weekly check-up to my doctor  scheduled every Friday. As usual as government hospital protocol, need to fall in a long line for listing then the check up will be in the afternoon. It's mom's routine to go the hospital in the morning to include my name on the list coming from work, then before lunch time Daddy and I need to go the the hospital then. Travel time may took maximum of two hours from our place.

I can eat on my own :)

I'm using a tissue to wiped out excess ketchup.

The Root of My Suffering

at 9:26 PM
This is my 12 inches long part of my large intestine.
It was pull through to my anus to remove the part which has no nerves causing of  not functioning well of my intestine. If anyone has a courage enough to look closely, it is very visible those seem like tiny bites. As per my doctor said to mommy they were trying to locate which  part  is not functioning well and alternately making a biopsy of it. Reason why it took hours before the operation completed. on the other hand, outside the operating room I know my mommy is shouting everyone who will cover her way to the operating room. She has no patience. She may be not panicking but she's not happy not hearing an update about me. My brutally mean but so loving mom.

After Operation

at 9:19 PM
Mommy said she was panicking cause it took a while before they were called and inform them about my situation. I am so blessed that a lot of doctors care about me. They were literally a lot .
Mommy is holding the coned shape oxygen since the smallest oxygen masks cannot fit in to me.
 Uneasy with nasogastric tube
Daddy wanted remove it but mommy knows it is needed for my medication. Things I love about Daddy he willing to disobey instructions if he sees I am in vain but mommy will not for she knows the importance of it. A petty fight inside the recovery room.

Hospital Visit for the Fourth Time

at 8:33 PM
Am I chubby? Am I huggable? I wish I am just chubby baby that everyone see the most. But no I am bloated. I feel uncomfortable. I feel sick.

The feeling wherein everyone around you wanted to prick you the needle wherever possible. Must've been an epic feeling. NO one loves to be prick by the so called ant bites.

Because it was needed I have to bear all the pain. I wanted to be healed. Mommy said soon everything will be alright. I am a brave. I must be.

That awkward feeling that you don't have a pillow in a big bed? Oh mom? Why?

Here I am again, Endless Constipation as They Say

at 8:49 PM
I was rushed to the emergency room the last time since I was dehydrated and vomiting and after initial treatment I was discharged but here I am again.  I am in pain, isn't it unfair at this early months of my life I am a frequent hospital visitor? But mommy always told me I can do this and I will surpass this challenge.
My favorite companion who never leaves me through my hospitalization not so happy adventure. My mama.
